He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Cowboy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cowboy tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cowboy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Draven avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Draven wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Crocker is fending him off so far but Cowboy persists. Nope, Crocker circles away and we're back to standing. Cowboy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crocker swats him away and circles back towards the center. Crocker throws a low kick, looking for Cowboy's leg but Cowboy calmly moves out of range. Nice takedown defense from Crocker. No joy for Cowboy on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cocaine Cowboy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cowboy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crocker pinned against the cage. Crocker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Crocker appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cowboy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crocker paws at him with a jab and circles away. A nice side step and Crocker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. A slapping leg kick lands for Crocker.
