Changg lands a glancing blow to the side of Martin's head. Martin slips under a jab. Martin darts in looking for a takedown but Changg gets double underhooks and turns Martin into the cage. Martin looks for a takedown but Changg sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Changg changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Martin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Changg tries to avoid it but Martin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Changg to the ground. Changg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Changg scores with a crisp jab that stopped Martin in his tracks. Horrible takedown attempt by Martin or perhaps it was just good defense by Changg, which made it look bad. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. #R1# No luck for Martin with that takedown attempt. #CL# Go gets a clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Martin. Martin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Go avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Martin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Martin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Go is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Omise Go has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Martin. Go tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Go lands a hook to the side of the head. Go misses with a hook from the clinch. Go swings away with an uppercut that misses.

#R1# Martin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Martin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Akhmedov defends well and Martin ends up having to push Akhmedov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Akhmedov looks like he wants to counter punch here. Martin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Akhmedov throws out a loose jab but Martin uses good head movement to avoid it. Akhmedov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Martin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.#T4# Akhmedov tests Martin's chin there with a solid looking shot. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Martin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
