He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cox's guard.#ES# Cox has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Esposito has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.#TD2# Esposito lands a takedown into guard.
Esposito missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Esposito is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Esposito postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cox wants to stand and escape but Esposito is having none of it. Esposito sitting in guard here, content to control. Esposito prevents Cox from getting back to his feet. Cox avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#SU2# Esposito gets to his feet - Cox follows without any prompting. Esposito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cox keeping moving, preventing Esposito from controlling successfully. Esposito throws a big right hand that misses. Esposito is stalling in the full guard. Esposito tries to free his leg and advance position but Cox is retaining full guard. Esposito trying to control the position from guard on top but Cox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Esposito is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Cox keeping moving, preventing Esposito from controlling successfully. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Esposito seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cox blocks a head kick by Esposito.
#TD# Cox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SU# Cox decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Esposito, up you get! Esposito tries to close the distance and clinch but Cox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cox tries for a takedown but Esposito sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.#TD2# Cox tries to sprawl but Esposito drives through with a takedown into half guard. Cox tries to get to full guard but Esposito has control of the leg. Esposito wants to pass to mount but Cox is defending the position. Cox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Esposito prevents Cox from standing back up.
#T3# Esposito throwing shots but Cox is blocking nicely. #SU2# Esposito postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cox to stand up. Esposito is looking to clinch but Cox is avoiding it.
Cox tries to counter by clinching up but Esposito breaks away and moves out of range. Gennaro Esposito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Esposito bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#ES# Cox explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Esposito tries to close the distance and clinch but Cox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2# Esposito closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Esposito looks winded! Esposito misses with the ground and pound.#SU2# Esposito decides to take the fight back to the feet. #TD2# Esposito shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Esposito has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T4# The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB2# Esposito is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cox doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Esposito. The fighters are battling for position here. Cox manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cox wants to control the position but Esposito says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Esposito throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Esposito seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cox does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #SUB2# Esposito is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cox defends it well. Cox manages to get to full guard.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! #R2# Cox wants to clinch up but Esposito keeps it at a distance. Cox keeping moving, preventing Esposito from controlling successfully. Esposito stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cox swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cox not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#ES# Cox manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cox uses from the top position. Cox has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Esposito is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Esposito wants to sweep but no luck. Esposito is trying to keep Cox in close.
Cox stops Esposito from standing up. Esposito controlling the position.#SU# Cox decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The fighters circle momentarily. Esposito darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.#T2##TD2# Esposito closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cox to the mat! He catches Cox napping and manages to drive through into side control!#ES# Cox sneaks out the side door and pushes Esposito away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD2# Cox gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Esposito to score an easy takedown into full guard.#ES# Cox is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. #T3# Cox wants to break free but Esposito has control.
#TD2# Esposito ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Esposito no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Esposito throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee asks Esposito politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Esposito prefers to stall for the moment though. #CUT2# It looks like Reinaldo Cox has been cut. Cox is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Cox is looking to break free of the clinch but Esposito has double underhooks. Cox struggles to land a body shot inside as Esposito controls his hands.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Cox obliges.#TD2# Esposito successfully pulls guard.
Esposito bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cox's guard. #REVB# Esposito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.#T4# Esposito working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. #SU2# Esposito gets to his feet. Cox looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Cox needs to keep his hands up - Esposito had a free shot at his head there.#TD2# Esposito looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cox! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. You can see the frustration on Cox's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cox pushes Esposito away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Esposito gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Cox tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Esposito prevents Cox from getting the reversal.#SU2# Esposito is standing up, even though he is in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Gennaro Esposito comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Esposito has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
