Good shot there by Kovalenko. Kovalenko's coach down at Russian Bears Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kovalenko's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kovalenko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kovalenko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Diddly fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kovalenko keeps the fight on the outside. A looping hook to the body misses from Diddly. Kovalenko does a little dance to reset his feet. Diddly shoots in looking for a takedown but Kovalenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Diddly's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
