Shepherd working some strikes from top position. Shepherd scoring with punches to the head and body. Shepherd stays in close to Pathak's body and controls the position. #SU# Shepherd gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pathak throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD# and Shepherd counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pathak! Shepherd cracks Pathak with a big elbow. Shepherd lands a few punches from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shepherd scores with punches from side control. #T1# Shepherd working the ground and pound from side control. Pathak takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pathak on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Shepherd lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pathak down.
Pathak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shepherd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pathak taking punishment in the form of punches.
Shepherd looks up at the clock and then as Pathak takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shepherd smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Pathak has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Shepherd has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Pathak taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Shepherd doesn't care though - he's delighted!

#R1##TD2# Imhoof decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Pathak looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!#SUB2# Pathak is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Imhoof has latched onto it... Big trouble! Imhoof pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Pathak is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Imhoof!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Claude Imhoof! A relieved looking Claude Imhoof thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Pathak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Patton tries a head kick but it misses.
Pathak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Patton avoids it really well and circles away. Patton misses with a few strikes there.
#CL2# Pathak clinches up against the cage.#BC# Patton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
#TD# Patton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Patton scoring with some ground and pound. Pathak working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Patton. #SUB# Patton drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Patton as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! #R1# Pathak darts in looking for a takedown but Rosa gets double underhooks and turns Pathak into the cage. Pathak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#TD# Pathak gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rosa to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pathak wants to get back to his feet but Rosa passes into half guard.
Pathak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rosa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#REVB# Rosa controlling the action here. #SU# Rosa escapes and gets back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rosa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rosa throws a counter high kick but Pathak was just alert enough to avoid it.#T1##CL# The fight moves into the clinch position.#TD# Rosa has managed to pull guard. Pathak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Christian lands a couple of decent looking shots. Christian working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pathak's head. Pathak has momentary wrist control but Christian slips an elbow through the middle. Christian is stalling in the full guard. Christian connects with a couple of short punches. Pathak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Christian controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU# Christian gets to his feet - Pathak follows without any prompting. #TD# Christian darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Pathak wants to stand back up but Christian manages to pass into side control.
