Aliev on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Draven throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Aliev's head. Draven takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Aliev covers up and Draven unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Vasara darts in trying to clinch and Aliev counters with a flying knee. Nice. Aliev scores with a kick to the midsection. Aliev cracks Vasara with a good jab. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Aliev, as that shot connected.

and Aliev scores with a counter punch that sends Vasara to the canvas! Aliev smells blood - he's punishing Vasara with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Vasara has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Magomedrasulov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Aliev has a closed guard, preventing Magomedrasulov from standing up. #T1# Magomedrasulov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Magomedrasulov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Aliev for as long as he can get away with. Magomedrasulov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Magomedrasulov distracts Aliev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Aliev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Al Sulwi's waist but Al Sulwi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aliev off to one side. #CL# Al Sulwi pushes Aliev up against the cage in a clinch.#BC# Al Sulwi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL2# Aliev rushes Al Sulwi and presses him up against the cage. Al Sulwi is trying to drag Aliev to the mat but Aliev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.#TD# Al Sulwi pulls Aliev into guard.

#R1##TD2# Nassibu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nassibu looking to pass the guard. Nassibu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aliev is proving hard to escape from. Nassibu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aliev works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Aliev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nassibu controls the pace. Nassibu content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nassibu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Nassibu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aliev is proving hard to escape from. Aliev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nassibu on the ground. Nassibu controlling the position easily from mount. #SUB2# Nassibu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Aliev is surviving well by controlling Nassibu's body position as best he can. This has been an exciting period of action! Nassibu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T3# Aliev tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nassibu is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Aliev can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Magomedov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Magomedov has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Aliev. Aliev avoids the head kick by Magomedov.

#R1# Aliev misses with a body kick. Horrible takedown attempt by Aliev or perhaps it was just good defense by Volkov, which made it look bad. Volkov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Volkov misses with an uppercut. Aliev saw that one coming. Volkov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Swanson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Aliev tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Swanson manages to move to mount!
Swanson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Swanson with shots to the head and body - Aliev looks very uncomfortable down there. Swanson cracks Aliev with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

William is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Aliev. William keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Aliev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #CL# and William counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Fabian William has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Albert Aliev. Aliev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Knowles really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Aliev is looking to escape. Aliev blocking the ground and pound attempt from Knowles. Aliev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knowles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
