Burgess manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#SUB2# Eorl drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eorl jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB# Burgess has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Eorl is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Burgess. Eorl in side control, just content to control the action for now. #SUB2# Eorl is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Burgess has escaped the position, nice work there. Burgess is not in a great position here, taking some shots. #T1# Eorl taking a breather here. Eorl landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Karhu tries to clinch but fails miserably #TD# and Burgess counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Burgess seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burgess wants to stand up but Karhu is controlling the position.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smitty takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Burgess tries a body shot but Smitty blocks it.
Smitty has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burgess is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Burgess jumps guard but Smitty stands there with Burgess around his waist. Burgess gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

#R1##TD# Damage tries to sprawl but Burgess drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Damage trying to hold on to Burgess's head to control him but Burgess postures up.
Burgess is just content to waste time from the top position. Damage takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Damage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#SUB2# Burgess is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Damage has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Burgess is looking to defend but Damage has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Burgess! Damage pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Burgess taps out and this one is all over!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ullvang tries to kick Burgess off in order to stand up. Burgess Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
