Mendelssohn fails with the takedown and Kowalski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kowalski lunges at Mendelssohn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mendelssohn's hand. Kowalski scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Mendelssohn misses with a takedown attempt and Kowalski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Frank Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sven Mendelssohn. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mendelssohn has his takedown stuffed and Kowalski counters with a straight right hand. Kowalski darts in and out, connecting with a jab. #T1# Kowalski thuds a left hand into Mendelssohn's body. Kowalski thuds his right hand into Mendelssohn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kowalski lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mendelssohn with a lazy takedown attempt and Kowalski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kowalski lands with a hook. Kowalski has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Hagen shoots and misses and Kowalski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hagen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hagen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kowalski misses with a looping right. Kowalski lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

He must have been working on that in the gym. Nice defenses there by Kowalski. Kowalski was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Musaev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Deadly lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
