Cobb is fighting the takedown attempt but Turturro gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turturro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Turturro pushes down on Cobb's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cobb is trying to stand back up but Turturro is controlling him
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Turturro in particular looking to stall. Cobb is in trouble now - Turturro has advanced to mount! #SUB2# Cobb is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Turturro locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. Nice body kick there by Yaj. Yaj misses with a looping left. Turturro bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Yaj scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turturro doesn't seem bothered though. Yaj throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Turturro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Yaj stalks Turturro and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Turturro's face. Turturro staggers backwards, shaken.#CUT2# It looks like Lauro Turturro has been cut. Turturro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A nice inside leg kick there by Yaj. That's going to slow Turturro down. Yaj dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Turturro. That did some damage! Turturro tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yaj throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lauro Turturro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turturro dives in and grabs Bussa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bussa pushes down on Turturro's head and hops out. Bussa let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Lauro Turturro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turturro tries for a takedown but Bussa circles away easily and Bussa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Turturro slips a jab from Bussa. Turturro shoots in looking for a takedown.
