Allen lands a hook that snaps the head of Spong backwards. Allen pushes Spong back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.#BC2# Allen breaks from the clinch.
Spong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Spong moves out of range of the body kick from Allen.
Spong shoots in and drives through. Allen sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slade Spong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Allen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Allen! Eddie Allen tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

Allen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. De Guzman blocks a leg kick. Allen stuffs the takedown.#CL2# Allen clinches up against the cage. Allen swings away with an uppercut that misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Allen can do anything to dispel that myth. Allen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
