#R1# LeMahieu walks into a stiff left hand from Freds. Freds shoots in but no luck this time. #TD2# Freds gets caught napping as LeMahieu dives in and scores a takedown. Freds manages to retain guard. Freds can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as LeMahieu controls the pace. Let's hope that LeMahieu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like LeMahieu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. LeMahieu stands and throws Freds's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# LeMahieu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. LeMahieu controls the position.#T1# LeMahieu is continuing to stall. Freds tries to buck LeMahieu off but LeMahieu is having none of it. LeMahieu tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. #SUB2# LeMahieu has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Freds is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. LeMahieu yanks on the arm and Freds is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by LeMahieu.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Florian LeMahieu!
