Kaya's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kaya was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Hunt dives in for a single leg takedown but Kaya sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Hunt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graham Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hunt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hunt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

No joy there for Kaya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Matthieu cracks Kaya with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.#ROC#

Kaya walks straight into a right hand from Matthieu - that's dropped him! Matthieu jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kaya from any more punishment! Kaya complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
