He catches Sobolev napping and manages to drive through into side control! Calhoun is looking to take a break and control but Sobolev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sobolev is pushing Calhoun's head away, looking to escape. Calhoun manages to hold on to the position though. An elbow from Calhoun crashes against the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sobolev is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Calhoun off and has taken his back! Calhoun wants to get back to his feet. Sobolev somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Calhoun trying to control the position but Sobolev manages to sink in the hooks. Martin tries to work over Sobolev's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Martin scores with an uppercut up the middle. Martin managing to block the knees to the body from Sobolev.
Sobolev's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Both guys are working to get underhooks. Sobolev has Martin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Martin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Martin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sobolev backwards.
