Baker is looking to stand up but Melton won't let him. Melton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Baker trying to control but Melton is working from the bottom. Baker throwing strikes from guard but Melton blocks nicely. Baker looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker wanted to stand there but Melton had control of the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baker throwing strikes from guard but Melton blocks nicely. #T1# Baker is working Melton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Baker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Baker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
