Andst should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Andst misses with an uppercut. Shepherd saw that one coming. Good leg kick by Andst there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Shepherd trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shepherd trying to control but Kivi is working from the bottom. Shepherd throwing strikes but missing. Kivi is looking to stand back up but Shepherd counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kivi. Kivi is trying to stand.

Shepherd sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hooks is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Shepherd stays in close to Pathak's body and controls the position. #SU# Shepherd gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pathak throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD# and Shepherd counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pathak! Shepherd cracks Pathak with a big elbow. Shepherd lands a few punches from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shepherd scores with punches from side control. #T1# Shepherd working the ground and pound from side control. Pathak takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
