We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Brown working a defensive guard here.
Brown doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Blackwell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Blackwell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brown wants to sweep here but Blackwell controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blackwell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A little feinted left hand from Blackwell on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Buzpung throws a sloppy head kick and Blackwell moves out of range easily. As Buzpung backs away, Blackwell returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Buzpung tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #TD# Blackwell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buzpung manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Blackwell throws a strike but Buzpung rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB# There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blackwell is on top in guard.
#REVR# Buzpung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Blackwell seems content to control from guard here. Coco pushes Blackwell off looking to stand but Blackwell dives back in and keeps control.

#R1##TD2# Derange bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#ES# Blackwell bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Seb Derange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Derange darts in looking for a takedown but Blackwell gets double underhooks and turns Derange into the cage. Blackwell looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Nice sprawl there from Blackwell as Derange shoots in. Blackwell seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.#TD2# Derange looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
