The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nevez wants to stand up but Griffin is controlling him. Griffin with a nice head shot there. Griffin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nevez's head.#ES# Nevez pushes Griffin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Griffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nevez circles away quickly and effectively. Griffin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nevez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A jab from Griffin finds it's way through Nevez's defenses. Nevez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Griffin.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nevez walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Griffin drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Nevez swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Griffin's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Clementine throws out a token jab with nothing on it.#CL2# Clementine clinches up against the cage. Clementine jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nevez walks away with a smile on his face. Clementine gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nevez scores with the left hand. Clementine knows he should have avoided that one. Clementine keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nevez. Nevez catches Clementine with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!#CL2# Clementine instigates a clinch. Nice body punch from Nevez - that landed with a thud.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

It looked like Nevez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Munday shoots in for a takedown but Nevez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nevez connects with the punch.#TD2# Munday throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nevez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Munday is in Nevez's guard.#SUB2# Munday thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Munday pushes down on Nevez's leg and manages to get into half guard. Munday performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Munday wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nevez keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munday works his way into side control. #T1# Nevez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Munday is looking to take a break and control but Nevez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nevez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Munday on the ground. Munday taking a breather here. Nevez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. Munday is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Munday hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
