We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McHeartney has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

McHeartney has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pereira is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pereira throws a lazy right hand but McHeartney sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pereira is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
McHeartney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pereira pinned against the ropes. Pereira gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
