Calvert content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Calvert trying to control but Warner is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Warner throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Calvert must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warner is looking to stand up but Calvert isn't so interested in that idea. #T1# Calvert wants to control from the top but Warner keeps moving. Warner really is a fat lump. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Calvert can do anything to dispel that myth. Calvert is trying to control the position but Warner postures up. Warner wants to stand but Calvert has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Warner has locked up a guillotine! Warner's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Calvert is holding on here and Warner must be using up a lot of energy. Calvert has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Warner gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

#R1# Calvert wants to clinch.#TD2# Calvert shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Calvert showed some decent athleticism there. Davidson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice strikes from Calvert there. Calvert scoring with strikes to the body and head. Davidson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Calvert is thwarting Davidson's attempts to control the position. Davidson regains full guard. Nicely done. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Calvert is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Davidson looking to control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
