A momentary lapse in concentration from Diefenbach enables Valentine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Diefenbach manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Valentine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diefenbach swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Diefenbach has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Diefenbach is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Valentine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Diefenbach looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Diefenbach looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Diefenbach! #REVB#

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Valentine wants to control but Diefenbach postures up.
Valentine is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Diefenbach off and has taken his back!
