Thatcher fails with the takedown and Vidar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL# Thatcher forces Vidar back against the cage and clinches. Thatcher tries to pull guard but Vidar won't allow it.

Vidar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Aleksander misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vidar throws a series of strikes that have Aleksander backpedaling.
#TD# Aleksander closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #ES2# Vidar explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
