Raaf throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lesnar was covering up waiting for the punch and Raaf finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Raaf sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Raaf working some strikes from top position.
Raaf is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raaf passes Lesnar's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Raaf. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Raaf is nestled in close to Lesnar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#T1#
Raaf is taking a breather. Lesnar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lesnar is looking for a sweep. Raaf is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Raaf slows the pace down in half guard.
Raaf lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Raaf is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Raaf frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Raaf seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lesnar for as long as he can get away with.
Raaf lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Raaf cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Raaf is landing with some decent strikes but Lesnar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Raaf working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lesnar turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Raaf off and cradles Lesnar's limp body as Raaf celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rik Raaf!

Raaf has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing The Viking to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Raaf is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - The Viking pulls down on the head and he's put Raaf to sleep! This one is all over!
