#R1# Valentine shoots in looking for a takedown but Muncher manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Valentine's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Valentine misses with a takedown and Muncher counters with a head kick. That will keep Valentine thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Muncher misses with a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Valentine. Box Muncher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Valentine. Valentine defending well as Muncher loads up on a big left hand. #TD2# Valentine fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Muncher to the ground. Valentine is now in Muncher's guard. Valentine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Muncher's guard. Muncher is trying to stand.
Valentine is looking to advance position but Muncher won't allow it. #SUB2# Valentine is trying to work for a kimura but Muncher is defending well.

Alex Valentine decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#TD2# Muncher gets the takedown into side control. #SU2# Muncher decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hughes to his feet. #CL# Hughes closes the distance and pushes Muncher back into the cage.#BC2# Muncher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hughes tries to clinch up.#TD# Hughes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#ES2# Muncher pushes Hughes off and gets back to his feet. A slapping leg kick lands for Hughes.

Hughes throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Hughes is looking to regain half guard here but Muncher keeps moving and retains side control. Muncher cracks Hughes with a big right hand but Hughes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Muncher can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
