Gashi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tiv.#CUT2# It looks like Enver Gashi has been cut.#TD# Gashi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tiv tries to escape but Gashi is in control. Gashi fails to land a wild elbow strike.
#SUB# Gashi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tiv, who protects the arm well. Tiv is pushing Gashi's head away, looking to escape. Gashi manages to hold on to the position though. Tiv felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Annunziata lands a jab to Gashi's midsection. Annunziata lands an overhand right.#CUT2# It looks like Enver Gashi has been cut. Gashi misses with a takedown attempt and Annunziata counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Enver Gashi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gashi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Annunziata sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gashi somewhat. It seemed like Annunziata was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tophat has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gashi is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tophat throws a combination. Gashi tries to block but a couple of punches get through.#TD2# Tophat drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.#SU2# Tophat stands up. Horrible takedown attempt by Gashi or perhaps it was just good defense by Tophat, which made it look bad. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tophat scores with a head kick.

Gashi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tiv pushes Gashi off looking to stand but Gashi dives back in and keeps control.
