He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boom, into his guard. #REVR##SUB2# Boom has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kadyrev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boom. Boom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kadyrev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boom is looking for a sweep.#SU# Kadyrev decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boom to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boom shoots for a double leg takedown but Avery sprawls well. He's pushed Boom's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Avery swinging wildly here.
As Avery tries to get set, Boom tries to push him back and clinch up but Avery manages to avoid the attempt. Avery throws a head kick but Boom moves out of range.
Boom is looking to counter punch. Avery connects with a body shot that sends Boom's belly button to the back.#CL2# Avery moves into the clinch successfully.
