Wittmann takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Garnot lands with a thumping leg kick.
Garnot throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A jab from Garnot does it's job there. Wittmann is looking to land body kicks. Garnot waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wittmann. Garnot throws a leg kick but Wittmann moved away.#TD2# Garnot feints and as Wittmann raises his hands in defense, Garnot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB# Garnot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Garnot felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Garnot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position.
