Shaw misses with a leg kick.
Stern has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shaw is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Stern tries a head kick but it misses.
Shaw went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Shaw shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stern defends it nicely.
Shaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stern swats away the attempt to clinch by Shaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kitano throws a combination. Stern tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Tenshin Kitano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kitano fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kitano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stern looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kitano scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nice shot lands for Kitano.
Kitano tests Stern's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kitano punishes Stern's body with a nice straight punch.
Stern looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Hayes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stern throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hayes.

It looks like Finley Hayes has been cut.
Stern throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hayes counters with a nice uppercut.
A head kick from Stern lands but Hayes takes it in his stride.
Stern drops his hands momentarily and Hayes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hayes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Stern takes one to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fei steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stern.
It looked like Fei was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Stern.
Stern plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Stern takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fei throws a quick inside leg kick.

Stern throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bell's waist but Bell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stern off to one side.
Bell scores with a head kick. Stern tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

and Stern counters with a two punch combo.

Bell appears to be looking for a big counter.

Bell circles away from the clinch attempt

That was a close round but I would say that Russell Bell will probably get the nod.
