Whittaker tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Patton avoids it. Whittaker lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. We've been informed that Whittaker has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. The referee calls for Whittaker to work.
Still in the clinch, Whittaker scores with a nice short uppercut. Patton tries to pull guard but Whittaker holds him up against the cage and eventually Patton drops back down to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patton jumps guard but Whittaker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Miller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Miller avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Miller seems keen to control Patton's posture. That was a close round but I would say that Alan Patton will probably get the nod. Baller is squeezing on Patton like an anaconda would it's prey. Patton fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

That was a close second round but I would say that Alan Patton will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning.
