Volkov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kadyrev. Kadyrev shoots in and drives through. Volkov sprawls well. A head kick by Kadyrev misses and Volkov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kadyrev thinking. Kadyrev tries for a takedown but Volkov circles away easily and Kadyrev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kadyrev is looking to clinch but Volkov is avoiding it.
Volkov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kadyrev sees it coming and avoids it easily. And Kadyrev tries to counter it with a takedown but Volkov pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kadyrev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Volkov stuns Kadyrev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volkov misses with a lunging right hand

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kadyrev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kadyrev manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#SUB2# Boom postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kadyrev is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boom, into his guard. #REVR##SUB2# Boom has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kadyrev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boom. Boom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kadyrev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boom is looking for a sweep.#SU# Kadyrev decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boom to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
