#R1##TD# Barr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.#ES2# Daniels has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Barr is on him like a limpet, forcing Daniels back against the cage. Daniels avoiding damage as Barr throws knees to the body.

#TD# Barr gets the takedown into side control. #ES2# Daniels sneaks out the side door and pushes Barr away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD# Barr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Daniels has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Barr is landing a low percentage of strikes. Daniels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. That was a close second round but I would say that Geoffrey Barr will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Daniels has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barr is working away from the top position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

#R1# Daniels takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.#TD2# Daniels shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Santos napping and manages to drive through into side control!#ES# Santos throws Daniels to one side and escapes! Daniels uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Santos has time to react.#TD2# Daniels closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB2# Daniels is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Santos is trying to escape and Daniels transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Santos is forced to tap! Nice work there by Daniels! Very nice indeed!

#TD# Byrd shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Daniels napping and manages to drive through into side control! Byrd remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. #T1# Byrd has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Byrd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
