An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Howard. A shot in the inside from Howard. Howard lands a nice uppercut. Howard tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Adaev's elbow. Howard misses with the head strike.
#TD2# Adaev is trying to trip Howard. He has hold of a leg but Howard is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Adaev persists though and gets the takedown into guard.#SUB# Howard has his foot on Adaev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adaev works his way back into a safe position though. Howard is trying to hold Adaev in close to prevent damage but Adaev has managed to pass into half guard.
Adaev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. That was a close second round but I would say that Shemp Howard will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Howard on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Adaev in particular looking to stall. Adaev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Howard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SUB2# Adaev is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Howard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Adaev. Oh, Kenshin has tightened it up now! Adaev should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

#R1# Cotchin lands with a shot to the body. Cotchin lands a right hook to the body.
We've been told by Cotchin's head coaches at Returning Pride that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A jab from Cotchin does it's job there. Cotchin slaps away a takedown attempt from Adaev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cotchin lands with a good body shot. A cross from Cotchin lands. Adaev takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Trent Cotchin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cotchin throws a nice outside leg kick. #KD# Oooooh!!! Cotchin has knocked Adaev down with a huge combo! Cotchin steps away and waves a wobbly Adaev back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#ROC# Adaev is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cotchin weaves into range and cracks Adaev right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Adaev goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Cotchin is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Angliese dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Angliese's jab looks to have found its range, popping Adaev under the eye. Adaev takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
#CUT2# It looks like Amirkhan Adaev has been cut. Adaev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Adaev takes a head kick and keeps coming.

No chance. #SUB# Adaev looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
#SU2# Adaev is working an open guard so Angliese takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Adaev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Angliese finds it's way round the side to connect with Adaev's head. Angliese looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Angliese backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Adaev's temple! It sends Adaev violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Angliese celebrates and the doctors try to help Adaev!

Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Adaev tries to land a sweep but no joy. Adaev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Adaev wants to stand and escape but Franklin is having none of it. Adaev looking for a sweep. Not yet Adaev, not yet. Franklin trying to control but Adaev is working from the bottom. #SUB# Franklin drops back looking for a leg! Adaev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adaev manages to kick Franklin off! Franklin jumps back into Adaev's guard. Adaev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adaev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Adaev works over Stroev's head and body with a nice combination. Adaev fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Stroev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Adaev is fending him off so far but Stroev persists. Nope, Adaev circles away and we're back to standing. Adaev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stroev sprawls well. Stroev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Adaev gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stroev throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Adaev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.#CL2# Adaev has taken the fight to the clinch.

Barakus throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Barakus throws a good cross that connects.
