#R1##CL2# Lager closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #TD# Morrison decides to pull guard. Morrison could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lager sitting in guard here, content to control. Lager passes Morrison's left leg - he's now in half guard. Morrison trying to control from the bottom.
Lager takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. It looks like Lager might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lager tries to stand but can't do so whilst Morrison controls his leg. Lager moves nicely into side control. #T1# Morrison is trying to control Lager's posture but Lager avoids it. Morrison is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lager has just dragged him back down to the mat. Lager controls the position. Morrison wants to control but Lager postures up. Morrison prevents Lager from moving into mount. Morrison takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Lager moves into full mount! Lager sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T2##SUB2# Lager working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Lager content just to control the position here. Morrison is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. #SUB2# Lager wants to finish this one by submission but Morrison is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lager. Morrison is bucking up trying to escape but Lager cracks him with another couple of good strikes.#T3# Lager tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #SUB2# Lager jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Morrison manages to avoid the submission attempt. Morrison might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lager wants to stand but Morrison has his arm trapped. Morrison is not content to let Lager control the position. Morrison sneaks back into half guard.#T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lager controlling the pace. Let's hope that Lager has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Morrison tries to roll over but Lager keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gustav Lager dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2##TD2# Lager scores with a takedown into Morrison's guard. Lager passes easily into side control. Nice work. Morrison tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lager wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lager wants to stand but Morrison has his arm trapped. #SUB2# Lager is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Morrison has escaped the position, nice work there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lager landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. #T1# Lager wants to stand but Morrison is controlling his arm. Lager lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Morrison down.
Morrison is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Lager is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Lager working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Morrison looking for submissions off his back. Lager is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.#T2# Lager passes the guard and advances to mount! Morrison gets back to half guard.#SUB# Morrison is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lager pulls his head out easily. Morrison trying to control here.
#T3# Lager seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Morrison pushes Lager off looking to stand but Lager dives back in and keeps control.

What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Morrison's shoulder. That is not cool. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Morrison is looking for a sweep. Morrison looking for a sweep but Lager has passed into full mount! Oh no! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lager lands a big shot there that rocks Morrison but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lager controlling the pace for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lager avoids the attempt from Morrison to control. Lager content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gustav Lager showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! #R3##CL2# Lager moves into the clinch successfully.
Morrison is trying to pull guard but Lager turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Morrison jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lager walks away with a smile on his face. Morrison gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #TD2# Lager looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lager works a leg free and moves into half guard. Still in half guard, Lager seems content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morrison tries to roll over but Lager keeps him under control.#T1# The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lager is thwarting Morrison's attempts to control the position. Lager moves into full mount! Morrison won't be happy about that! Lager lands a big elbow. Lager looking to control and managing it successfully. Morrison really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.#T2# Lager content just to control the position here. Morrison's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Lager scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Morrison?
Lager lands a big elbow - Morrison is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Morrison is forced to tap out!
