Afrika throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Toto Afrika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD#
Boogie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Afrika is trying to defend but Boogie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Boogie lands a nice short elbow.
Boogie is nestled in close to Afrika, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Afrika is trying to get back to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boogie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Afrika for as long as he can get away with.

Afrika has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boogie is working away from the top position though.
Boogie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Afrika!
