White leaves Dasilva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dasilva tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dasilva somewhat.
White takes a jab right on the kisser.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that White has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Dasilva shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Dasilva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Dasilva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
