Sludge throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Chavez. Sludge lands with a straight right. Chavez didn't see that one coming. Sludge plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! No luck with that takedown attempt from Chavez. #TD2# Chavez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sludge pushes Chavez off looking to stand but Chavez dives back in and keeps control.
#SUB2# Chavez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sludge doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chavez. Chavez prevents Sludge from standing back up.

Randolph is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Chavez. Randolph lands with a kick to the ribs.
Senon Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chavez misses with a takedown #CL# and Randolph counters by moving into the clinch. Leandro Randolph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Senon Chavez. Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Senon Chavez (ranked 8893 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Max (ranked 21831 p4p, 643 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Senon Chavez! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 6 losses; Karl Max! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Max circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chavez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Max shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chavez sprawls well. Chavez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Max gets slowly back to his feet. Chavez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Max sprawls and moves away.
