#R1# Diaz wants to clinch but Klinger slips to the side enabling Klinger to counter with a crisp jab. Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klinger circles away. Diaz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Despite the aggression on Klinger's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Nice takedown defense from Klinger. No joy for Diaz on that attempt. Diaz shoots and misses #KD2# and Klinger counters with a crisp one two that drops Diaz! Klinger thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Diaz to his feet! Diaz is in big trouble!#ROC2# Diaz is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab from Diaz does it's job there. Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#KD2# Klinger lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Klinger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT2# It looks like Nate Diaz has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz looks to throw a body kick and Klinger counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Diaz falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

#TD# Thompson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Klinger to the mat! Klinger manages to get full guard. Thompson is looking to pass into half guard but Klinger pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Klinger is in guard.#REVB# Thompson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #SUB# Thompson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thompson is trying to keep Klinger in close.
#T1# Thompson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Klinger's guard. #REVR# Klinger keeping moving, preventing Thompson from controlling successfully. Klinger wants to stand and escape but Thompson is having none of it. Thompson forces his way into half guard. Thompson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Thompson stalling. #T2# Klinger keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Klinger is refusing to be controlled, as Thompson sits in half guard. Thompson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Klinger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #SUB# Thompson is looking for a kimura here.

Thompson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Klinger counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Thompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A nice side step and Klinger releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thompson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Klinger but Klinger pushes him off and we're back to square one. That was a close round but I would say that Steve Butabi will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Klinger swings and misses with a hook to the body.

It looked like Klinger was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Butabi. Klinger scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Klinger wants to slow Butabi down by chopping away at his legs. Butabi digs a good hook to Klinger's body.
Butabi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Klinger shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Butabi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Klinger.

He's half up but Butabi has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Butabi pivots and extends the arm, Klinger falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Butabi! Well done that man!
