Both guys are working to get underhooks. Garda is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Garda is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Compo is keeping busy. Garda misses with the head strike.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Compo, as that shot connected.

Compo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#BC# Compo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Garda looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Compo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Garda feints and then cracks Compo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Compo down. Compo dips to his left and cracks Garda with an uppercut! Compo connects with a body shot that sends Garda's belly button to the back. Garda looks winded! Compo checks a low kick from Garda. Garda throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Compo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Garda throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Garda needs to keep his hands up - Compo had a free shot at his head there. Garda throws a head kick that misses. Garda has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Compo dips to his left and cracks Garda with an uppercut!#T5# Garda closes the distance looking to clinch and Compo scores with a counter punch that sends Garda to the canvas! Compo smells blood - he's punishing Garda with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Garda has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

#TD# and Croce counters with a nice double leg into guard. Croce throws a big right hand that misses. Croce trying to control the position from guard on top but Garda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Croce chips away with some ground and pound. Garda wants to get back to his feet but Croce is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Croce postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Croce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Garda throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Croce stops Garda from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Croce scores with a decent looking elbow strike.#SUB2# Garda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Garda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Croce . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Croce connects with a couple of short punches.#ROC# Garda is rocked!#T1# Croce passes easily into side control. Nice work. Croce trying to control the position but Garda is working away. Croce landing a few strikes. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Croce is putting a hurting on Garda here, landing some big shots from side control. Garda is still in real trouble! Can Croce finish him? Croce has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Croce scoring with punches and elbows. Croce in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Croce scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Garda is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Croce can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

#TD# Syla Alda closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Garda's guard. Syla Alda sitting in guard, not really doing much. Syla Alda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Garda not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Kartiko Syla Alda will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Garda tries a head kick but it misses.

#R1# Mon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Garda. Garda obviously looking to wear him down.
Garda pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mon back to the cage. Garda follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Garda throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Garda will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

#TD# Mon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Garda was covering up waiting for the punch and Mon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Garda wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mon manages to pass to side control.
