Abdulakhmedov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by the Turkmen National Anthem. Azamat Abdulakhmedov has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Reagent moves into the clinch successfully.
Reagent is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Abdulakhmedov can't fight it off and eventually Reagent manages to take the fight to the floor. Abdulakhmedov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Reagent (2) vs (0) Abdulakhmedov Reagent pushes down on Abdulakhmedov's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reagent is looking for a kimura but Abdulakhmedov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Reagent to get the leverage. Reagent is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Abdulakhmedov is just riding it out for now. Reagent eventually gives up the hold. Abdulakhmedov wants to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Abdulakhmedov can do anything to dispel that myth. Reagent is looking for a kimura here.
Abdulakhmedov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reagent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Abdulakhmedov is trying to control but Reagent manages to pass to mount!

#R1# Abdulakhmedov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcdaniel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mcdaniel turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A head kick from Mcdaniel lands but Abdulakhmedov takes it in his stride. #KD2# Abdulakhmedov lands a big right hand that sends Mcdaniel crashing to the mat! Abdulakhmedov stays standing though and waves Mcdaniel back to his feet!#ROC2# Mcdaniel is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Hershel Mcdaniel has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action!#CL2# Mcdaniel tries to keep at a distance but Abdulakhmedov has taken the fight into the clinch. Oh Mcdaniel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcdaniel jumps guard but Abdulakhmedov stands there with Mcdaniel around his waist. Mcdaniel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
