#R1# Bectic leaves Ward with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bectic showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ward.
Bectic throws a combination that misses and Ward counters with a one-two to the body. Bectic is looking to clinch. Bectic tries to clinch up but Ward circles away and keeps his distance. Ward shoots in for a double leg but Bectic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ward takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ward stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ward wants it to stay on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Ward looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bectic pushes Ward off but Ward dives into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB# Ward has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bectic is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ward yanks on the arm and Bectic is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! #R1##CL# Iyagbor instigates a clinch. Bectic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bectic is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Iyagbor to keep the fight standing.#TD# Iyagbor pulls guard effortlessly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Iyagbor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. #SUB# Iyagbor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bectic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bectic is looking to stand up but Iyagbor won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iyagbor controlling Bectic's posture. #SUB# Iyagbor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
#T1# Bectic working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Iyagbor keeping moving, preventing Bectic from controlling successfully. #ES# Iyagbor pushes Bectic off and scrambles back to his feet.

Bectic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Iyagbor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground.
