#R1##TD# Hewitt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brodie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Brodie is trying to buck Hewitt off. Hewitt wants to stand but Brodie is controlling his arm. Brodie tries to strike but it doesn't land. Hewitt blocks the strikes from Brodie.
Brodie striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Brodie wants to get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brodie can do anything to dispel that myth. Hewitt blocks the strikes from Brodie.
Brodie throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brodie throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hewitt moves in looking to clinch but Brodie pushes him off. Hewitt closes the distance looking to clinch #TD2# and Brodie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hewitt's guard.#T1# Hewitt has a closed guard, preventing Brodie from standing up. Brodie lands a couple of elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brodie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Brodie postures up and lands a big shot to Hewitt's brow. Brodie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hewitt's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brodie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brodie throwing strikes but missing. #SUB# Hewitt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brodie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hewitt is tightening it up a little... Brodie has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Brodie reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Brodie taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hewitt!
