#R1# Al Hestian shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mayer but Mayer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mayer throws the left hand but Al Hestian avoids the punch easily. Al Hestian slips a straight right by Mayer. Al Hestian looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mayer is fending him off so far but Al Hestian persists. Nope, Mayer circles away and we're back to standing. Mayer throws a hook but Al Hestian avoids it easily. Al Hestian drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mayer defends it well. Al Hestian throws a sloppy head kick and Mayer moves out of range easily. Al Hestian is looking to clinch. Mayer throws a lazy right hand but Al Hestian sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Al Hestian will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Erlen Mayer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alucius Al Hestian. Al Hestian misses with a takedown attempt - Mayer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Al Hestian ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Erlen Mayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Al Hestian ducks under a wild hook from Mayer. Al Hestian is looking for the big counter here. Mayer misses with a looping right. Al Hestian fails with a takedown attempt. #T1# Mayer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mayer wants it to stay on the feet. Al Hestian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mayer paws at him with a jab and circles away.#CL# Mayer moves into the clinch. Mayer swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mayer. Mayer avoids a wild elbow strike from Al Hestian. Mayer scores with an uppercut up the middle. Al Hestian is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mayer pulls him back up using the underhooks. Al Hestian tries to circle away but Mayer has him pinned against the cage. Al Hestian wants to get back to striking at distance but Mayer won't allow it.
Mayer digs a right hand underneath Al Hestian's ribcage. Al Hestian let out a lung full of air as it connected. Mayer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Al Hestian looks winded! Mayer working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mayer stalling against the cage.
Mayer scores with a shoulder strike. #ROC# Al Hestian is rocked!#T2# Mayer works on Al Hestian's body with a couple of short punches. This has been an exciting period of action! Al Hestian has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Mayer lands with a light punch inside. A body shot lands from Mayer.
#KD# Mayer drops Al Hestian onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Al Hestian is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Al Hestian is still on wobbly legs! Can Mayer finish him? Mayer throws a big uppercut that drops Al Hestian! More strikes from Mayer and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Al Hestian lies dazed against the cage as Mayer celebrates with his cornermen!

#R1# Jerger missing with a left hand there. Al Hestian was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jerger stuffs the takedown. Jerger thows a left - swing and a miss! Jerger fails with an attempt to clinch.
Al Hestian throws a counter high kick but Jerger was just alert enough to avoid it. Al Hestian moves out of range of the strikes. Al Hestian shoots in for a takedown but Jerger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jerger moves out of range of the body kick from Al Hestian.
Al Hestian avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jerger misses with an uppercut
and Al Hestian counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Al Hestian slips under a jab.#CL2# Jerger moves into range and clinches up with Al Hestian. Come on Al Hestian - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Jerger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Al Hestian's efforts to push away. Jerger throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Al Hestian blocks it with crossed arms. Al Hestian avoiding damage as Jerger throws knees to the body.

Jerger misses with an elbow over the top. Jerger creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Al Hestian's defenses. Al Hestian blocks an elbow strike. Jerger missing with knees to the body.
Al Hestian has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jerger comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Jerger lands an elbow that stopped Al Hestian in his tracks for a moment. #T2# Al Hestian is working for takedown but Jerger is calmly controlling the position for now. Jerger lands a nice knee to the body. Al Hestian blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A nice glancing elbow lands by Jerger.
