#R1# Stern tries to bum rush Shuhan with a series of wild strikes but Shuhan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shuhan. Stern stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stern wants it to stay on the feet. Stern feints a jab promting Shuhan to slip. Stern then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shuhan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Stern scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Shuhan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Shuhan has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takeshi Shuhan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shuhan throws an overhand right that lands on Stern's shoulder, as Stern tries to avoid the shot. Shuhan has been working on his balance at Lock and Roll Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Stern. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stern throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Shuhan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Stern has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shuhan is landing a low percentage of strikes. Shuhan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stern. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stern works over Shuhan's head and body with a nice combination. Shuhan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stern but Stern pushes him off and we're back to square one.#T1# Stern digs a good hook to Shuhan's body.

Burch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shuhan. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Shuhan seems to be working for a kimura but Burch defends the submission attempt. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#TD# Jensen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jensen lands in his opponent's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jensen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shuhan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jensen. Jensen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jensen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. #R1# Shuhan tries to clinch up but Huffman circles away and keeps his distance. As Shuhan tries to get set, Huffman tries to push him back and clinch up but Shuhan manages to avoid the attempt. Huffman avoids a kick to the body.

Huffman is trying to keep an underhook but Shuhan manages to get the takedown into half guard. Huffman is trying to stand up here but Shuhan is controlling him well.
