Rob changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bastard tries to avoid it but Rob manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bastard to the ground. Bastard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rob has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bastard is landing a low percentage of strikes.

A clash of legs there as Rob blocks the low kick.
Rodriguez attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Rodriguez's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rodriguez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rodriguez throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD#
and Rob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rodriguez won't be happy with that.
Rob remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. #SUB#

Rob throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blount throwing a counter right hand but Rob manages to avoid it.
Blount will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rob tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blount defends well and Rob ends up having to push Blount into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Blount misses the target.
Rob displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Blount throws out the jab.

Blount has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Prototype's Dojo in the buildup to the fight.
