#R1# Wood throws a looping overhand right but Peters ducks down to avoid it. Marcus Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peters works over Wood's head and body with a nice combination.#CUT# It looks like Bayden Wood has been cut. Peters throws a body shot but no joy. Wood moves forwards but Peters connects with a nice, crisp jab.#KD# Peters lands a big uppercut and Wood crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wood looks OK. Peters waves Wood back to his feet!#ROC# Wood is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peters throws a series of punches but Wood avoids them all with ease. Peters's corner calls for a 1-2. Peters obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Wood is still on wobbly legs! Can Peters finish him? Wood on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wood takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Peters is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wood couldn't care less - he's delighted!

#R1# Wood misses with a takedown attempt and Beater counters with a straight right hand. Wood tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beater sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wood somewhat. It seemed like Beater was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Beater slips a straight right by Wood. Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beater moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Beater looks like he wants to counter punch here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood misses with a hook
and Beater counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Wood misses with an uppercut. Beater saw that one coming. Beater looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Beater looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Possibly, maybe, no Wood has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Beater gets back to half guard. Beater is refusing to be controlled, as Wood sits in half guard. Wood is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Wood throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
