#R1##TD# Scrivner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Scrivner lands in his opponent's guard. Scrivner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fried looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fried utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fried can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Scrivner controls the pace. Scrivner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fried works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scrivner stays in close to Fried's body and controls the position. Scrivner wants to pass the guard but Fried is keeping the position.#T1# Scrivner throws a big elbow that misses. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fried scores with the left hand. Scrivner knows he should have avoided that one. Scrivner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fried but Fried pushes him off and we're back to square one. Scrivner fails with the takedown and Fried counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fried lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Scrivner shoots and misses and Fried counters with a big right hand! Oh Scrivner is in trouble here! Fried follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
