#R1##TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Day. Joyner can't do much from the bottom here. Day is staying tight to Joyner's torso, preventing him from escaping. Joyner stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Day is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Day tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Day has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Joyner struggling a bit here. Day controlling the position from side mount. Joyner is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Joyner is trying to control Day's posture but Day avoids it. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Joyner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Day is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Joyner drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
#BC2# Day breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#TD2# Day feints and as Joyner raises his hands in defense, Day changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Day has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Joyner is proving hard to escape from. Day wants to control from the top but Joyner keeps moving. #T3# Day passes Joyner's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Day is trying to control. Joyner wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Day perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Joyner keeping hold of Day's head, controlling as best he can. Day works his foot free and advances to mount. #SUB2# Day working for a guillotine from mount but Joyner is in no mood to give up. #T4# Day cracks Joyner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
#SU2# Day is standing up, even though he is in mount. Day misses with a two punch combination.
#CL2# Day moves into the clinch successfully.
#TD# Joyner pulls Day into guard.
Day pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Joyner is keeping the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Day is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Day is pushing down on Joyner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Joyner is fighting to maintain full guard but Day has managed to sneak the leg through. Joyner is in trouble now - Day has advanced to mount! Joyner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Day looking to control but Joyner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. #T1# Day content just to control the position here. Day is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Joyner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
#T2# Day wants to control the pace but Joyner is squirming around nicely. Joyner taking shots to the head. Day content just to control the position here. Day with a couple of short strikes. Day connects with a bit shot that sees Joyner covering up! More strikes from Day and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Day is our winner by TKO!
