You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanchez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

#R1# Sanchez jabbing away but nothing is landing. Fried slips under a jab from Sanchez. Fried throws a jab when Sanchez was well out of range. Fried looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fried throws a nice looking combination but Sanchez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Salvador Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fried avoids a punch combination nicely.

Fried takes a swing at Sanchez's ribcage but misses. Sanchez throws a series of punches but Fried moves out of range. Fried tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sanchez lands with a good body shot. Sanchez connects with a single shot there. Sloppy strikes from Sanchez. Those never looked like landing. Fried moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.#CUT# It looks like Salvador Sanchez has been cut. Sanchez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fried's head backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanchez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fried moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A punch combination from Sanchez misses. Fried lands with a right hand. Sanchez with a body punch. A glancing blow. Fried cracks Sanchez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sanchez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fried pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sanchez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). French Fried! A relieved looking French Fried thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1##TD2# Horder looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Sanchez keeping full guard, as Horder tries to pass. Horder is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet but Horder is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sanchez being controlled here, momentarily. Sanchez wants to stand but Horder is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez keeping full guard, as Horder tries to pass. We've been hearing good reports from Sanchez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Horder won't allow Sanchez to get back to his feet. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.#T1# Horder content to stall in guard here. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez looks to land a combination but Horder avoids it well. Sanchez misses with a wild combination.
