Good anti-grappling being displayed by Pereira as Mir tries to tie him up. Mir's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Mir works on Pereira's body with a couple of short punches. Mir swings away with an uppercut that misses.

#R1# Nice takedown defense from Pereira. No joy for McHeartney on that attempt. McHeartney has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pereira is landing a low percentage of strikes. Pereira throws a lazy right hand but McHeartney sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pereira is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. McHeartney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pereira pinned against the ropes. Pereira gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McHeartney tries to clinch but Pereira is having none of it. Pereira throws a good cross that connects.
Pereira scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McHeartney doesn't seem bothered though. Pereira lunges at McHeartney with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McHeartney's hand. Pereira avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pereira appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Balboa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pereira pinned against the ropes. Pereira gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Balboa shoots and misses and Balboa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #KD2# Pereira sends Balboa crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pereira is motioning to the referee to let Balboa up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC2# Balboa is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
