#R1# Heath connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Shoost misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shoost has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Shoost swings away with a body shot that misses
and Heath counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Heath misses with a body shot.
Shoost throws a head kick but Heath moves out of range.
Heath lands with a kick to the temple. Shoost shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Shoost throws a head kick that misses. Shoost is looking to chop away at Heath's legs. Heath lands a nice hook to Shoost's body. Shoost takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Heath on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Heath swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
#KD# Heath looks low and kicks high, catching Shoost right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!#CUT# It looks like Carnesto Shoost has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Heath blocks a head kick by Shoost.
Shoost will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
#T1##KD# Shoost ducks into a a hook from Heath and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue! Heath throws a front kick to the face that drops Shoost face first to the mat! Oh, he's in big trouble! He's stumbling all over the place and has face planted into the ropes, causing the referee to call an end to the fight! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Front Kick). Griffin Heath! Griffin Heath took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.

#R1# Malenko throws a low kick but Shoost moves out of range easily. Malenko throws a nice looking combination but Shoost bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Malenko shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shoost eats them both and turns towards Malenko to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Shoost shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. #CL2# Malenko rushes Shoost and presses him up against the ropes. Malenko prevents Shoost from breaking the clinch.#BC2# Malenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Dean Malenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Malenko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Dean Malenko wins by unanimous decision! A relieved looking Dean Malenko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
