Meneghetti dives in for a single leg takedown but Slobodyanyuk sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Slobodyanyuk feinted with a counter takedown. Meneghetti pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.#CL2# Meneghetti has Slobodyanyuk up against the cage in a clinch.

A little feinted left hand from Tidwell on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Slobodyanyuk wants to clinch.#TD# Tidwell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tidwell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Slobodyanyuk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tidwell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#SUB2# Slobodyanyuk working from the bottom, still in full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
